Toronto, ON — September 2026 [LFFC Press] — The Lebanese Film Festival in Canada (LFFC) is marking a major milestone this fall as it celebrates its 10th anniversary, bringing a decade of Lebanese cinema, storytelling, and cultural exchange to audiences across Canada.
As part of its Jubilee celebrations, the festival will return to Toronto from September 18–21, 2026, followed by its Vancouver edition from September 23–28, 2026, bringing Lebanese feature films, documentaries, short films, special events, filmmaker encounters and community programming to audiences in both cities.
For ten years, the Lebanese Film Festival in Canada has created a national platform where Lebanese cinema and diaspora voices can be discovered, celebrated and shared with audiences from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Over the past decade, the festival has welcomed more than 80,000 attendees, presented more than 95 Canadian premieres, and showcased over 520 short and feature films, creating lasting bridges between Lebanon and Canada through the universal language of cinema.
Toronto: September 18–21
The Toronto edition will open the 10th anniversary celebrations with a special Red Carpet celebration under the stars, with the presence of the renowned Actor Yorgo Chalhoub bringing together filmmakers, artists, community leaders, partners, and cinema lovers for an evening dedicated to a decade of Lebanese cinema in Canada.
The Toronto program will feature a curated selection of Lebanese feature films, documentaries, and short films, alongside filmmaker Q&As, special screenings, youth programming, and community events.
Among the highlights is Arzé, directed by Mira Shaib, which will be presented as part of the festival’s Toronto celebration, followed by a special Q&A. The program will also include A Sign of Faith with the presence of the main Actor Yorgo Chalhoub, All Roads Lead to Rome, the documentary Walid Chmait – A life at the Heart of Cinema, and a dedicated short-film program.
The festival will also offer a youth workshop designed to introduce younger audiences to cinema, creativity and storytelling, reinforcing LFFC’s commitment to developing the next generation of filmmakers and audiences.
The Toronto edition will be a celebration not only of films, but of the community that has helped carry Lebanese cinema forward in Canada for a decade.
Vancouver: September 23–28
Just days after Toronto, and under the Patronage of His Excellency Dr. Nick Kahwaji, Honorary Consul of Lebanon in Vancouver, the Lebanese Film Festival in Canada will continue its 10th anniversary journey on the West Coast with its Vancouver edition, taking place September 23–28, 2026.
The Vancouver edition will open the 10th anniversary celebrations with a special Red Carpet celebration oon the Rooftop, with the presence of the renowned Actor Yorgo Chalhoub bringing together filmmakers, artists, community leaders, partners and cinema lovers for an evening dedicated to a decade of Lebanese cinema in Canada.
With its longstanding connection to the Alliance Française Vancouver, the Vancouver edition will highlight the intersection of Lebanese cinema, Francophonie and Canada’s multicultural landscape.
The Vancouver program will bring together feature films, documentaries, and short films, along with special events and community experiences designed to connect audiences with Lebanese stories and filmmakers.
A special short-film evening at Alliance Française Vancouver will offer audiences an opportunity to discover emerging Lebanese voices and engage with the filmmakers and stories shaping contemporary Lebanese cinema.
The festival will also present community and cultural programming, including a Taste of Lebanon with Chef Nada experience, creating opportunities for audiences to experience Lebanese culture beyond the screen.
Together, Toronto and Vancouver will form two major stops in LFFC’s 10th anniversary celebration — connecting audiences from coast to coast through cinema.

Since its founding in 2017, the Lebanese Film Festival in Canada has grown into a national cultural platform dedicated to showcasing Lebanese cinema and amplifying the voices of Lebanese and diaspora filmmakers.
The festival has welcomed established and emerging filmmakers, artists and industry guests, while creating opportunities for audiences to engage with stories exploring identity, migration, belonging, family, resilience, memory, youth, culture and the shared human experience.
