Beirut [Lebanon], 30 oct. – Dr. Maria Christie Bakhos, in her capacity as the associate scientific director and regional reference for the LIRIS Scenography Lab at the New Sorbonne University – Paris for the Middle East and North Africa region, will respond to the invitation to participate in the international conference held at New York University, in NYC from November 5 to 7, 2025
During the conference, Bakhos will present her new research study titled: “Reviving Scenography: The Dialectic of Action and Aesthetics”, an applied study on the play “May Ziadeh: Nights of The Cuckoo’s Nest”, in which she explains the practical details of the innovative concept (introduced by Professor Talal Drajani) of the “Dramatic Character of Scenography.” This is done through an innovative analytical approach to perceiving and understanding the dramatic role of theatrical space.
