Vancouver, Canada, Feb 23 (Honorary Consulate of Lebanon in Vancouver).- Under the patronage of the Honorary Consulate of Lebanon in Vancouver, the Lebanese community in BC celebrated the “International Day of the Lebanese Emigrant.”

To learn more about the event, Diafanís Magazine talked with the head of the Honorary Consulate of Lebanon in Vancouver, His Excellency Dr. Nick Kahwaji, who informed us about the event, indicating it will take place on March 14th, at the SFU Harbour Centre, Fletcher Challenge Theatre.

The cultural activity, organized by the Lebanese Canadian Society (WLCU-Vancouver), will feature five short films in English. Then, there will be an awards ceremony and a reception.

In partnership with the Beirut Film Society and the collaboration of Beirut Shorts, Academy Award Califiyng and the Lebanese Film Festival in Canada, the short films presented will be: “Yaroun” by director Zeinab Mahfoud, Short Doc Film; “Nowhere, Sometimes, Anywhere” by director Johanna Aghazarian, Short Doc Film; “Se habrán ido” by director Claudia Nader, Fiction Film; “Mother” by director Elina El Saliby, Fiction Filma and “Alitisal” by director Sabine Kahwaji, Fiction Film.

Bajo el patrocinio del Consulado Honorario del Líbano en Vancouver se celebrará el Día Internacional del Emigrante Libanés – English-Español

Vancouver, Canadá,  Feb 23 (Consulado Honorario del Lìbano en Vancouver).- Bajo el patrocinio del Consulado Honorario del Líbano en Vancouver, la comunidad libanesa de BC celebra el “Día Internacional del Emigrante Libanés”.

Para conocer más sobre el evento, Revista Diafanís dialogó con el responsable del Consulado Honorario del Líbano en Vancouver, Su Excelencia el Dr. Nick Kahwaji, quien nos informó sobre el mismo, indicando que se llevará a cabo el 14 de marzo, en el SFU Harbour Centre, Fletcher Challenge Theatre.

La actividad cultural, organizada por la Sociedad Libanesa Canadiense (WLCU-Vancouver), contará con cinco cortometrajes en inglés. Luego, habrá una ceremonia de premiación y una recepción.
