His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah inaugurated the exhibition named  A Window to the Soul: Gibran Khalil Gibran at the House of Wisdom, in the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, on Sunday 5 th.

The exhibition was organized by the House of Wisdom in partnership with the Gibran National Committee from Lebanon, which manages the Gibran Museum. The event was sponsored by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and supported by the Barjeel Art Foundation.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by  Bodour Al Qasimi, President of the International Publishers Association (IPA), and Chairperson of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq). Noura Bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth; Abdullah Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Department of Culture; Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi, Head of Protocol and Hospitality Department; Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA); Fouad Shehab Dandan, Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic to the United Arab Emirates.

The President of the Gibran National Committee, Mr. Joseph Fenianos, thanked His Highness Sheik Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, for hosting this exhibition, which will help familiarize visitors closely with the Lebanese writer and plastic artist Gibran Khalil Gibran.

Mr. Fenianos presented to His Highness Gibran’s book «Turn the Page, young man» as a present of appreciation and gratitude.

Nueva exhibición de las pinturas originales de Gibran se inaugura en los Emiratos Árabes Unidos

Su Alteza el Jeque y Sultán Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, miembro del Consejo Supremo y Gobernante de Sharjah, inauguró la exposición titulada Una ventana al alma: Gibran Khalil Gibran en la Casa de la Sabiduría (House of Wisdom), en el Emirato de Sharjah en los Emiratos Árabes Unidos, el domingo 5 de setiembre.

La exposición fue organizada por House of Wisdom (Casa de la Sabiduría) en asociación con el Comité Nacional Gibran del Líbano, que administra el Museo Gibran. El evento fue patrocinado por la Cámara de Comercio e Industria de Sharjah (SCCI) y apoyado por la Barjeel Art Foundation.

La exposición contó con la presencia de Bodour Al Qasimi, Presidenta de la Asociación Internacional de Editores (IPA) y Presidenta de la Autoridad de Inversión y Desarrollo de Sharjah (Shurooq). Noura Bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Ministra de Cultura y Juventud; Abdullah Al Owais, Presidente del Departamento de Cultura de Sharjah; Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi, Jefe del Departamento de Protocolo y Hospitalidad; Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Presidente de la Autoridad del Libro de Sharjah (SBA); Fouad Shehab Dandan, Embajador de la República Libanesa en los Emiratos Árabes Unidos.

El presidente del Comité Nacional Gibran, Sr. Joseph Fenianos, agradeció a Su Alteza el Jeque y Sultán Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, por albergar esta exposición, que ayudará a los visitantes a familiarizarse con el escritor y artista plástico libanés Gibran Khalil Gibran.

Finalmente,  el Sr Fenianos presentó  a Su Alteza el libro de Gibran Turn the Page, young man, como un presente de aprecio y gratitud.
