Xanlar Asadullayev: Art, colors, essence by the hand of an artist

Xanlar Asadullayev from Azerbaijan

Vibrant colors, subtle colors, Mediterranean seas, shadows, flowers, captured my attention. So I decided to contact the artist who made these paintings.

He is Xanlar Asadullayev from Azerbaijan. He talked to Diafanís Magazine about his art, his painting techniques, the themes that inspire him.

Here is the interview and his paintings.

At what age began to paint, to discover the world of plastic arts?

I started painting from my childhood. When I was 6-7 years old, there was an encyclopedia at my home and I started to paint its pictures. After that my family figured out my abilities and took me to course of painting. And my painting adventure started after that.

What are your favorite topics and techniques when doing your work?

I usually to do my work based in nature topic: landscapes, city views, flowers and etc. And also I make paintings in portrait, still life topics. My favourite techiniques are immpressionism and realism.

What is the reason that inspires you to paint your paintings?

Nature, flowers mainly light, shadow inspires me a lot…

Do you prefer to paint with watercolors? What other elements do you use in your paintings?

I have symphaty to watercolor but mainly I prefer oilcolor and acrylic.

What has been the path traveled to achieve the exhibitions of his artistic work?

For being professional artist my education and my masters helped me a lot. I graduated from the Art College and the Art Academy. Also, I achieved this level by working so hard.

Since when do you participate in art exhibitions? Have you exhibited your work in your country and abroad? Invidivually or collectively?

During my collage years, I took part in too many exhibitions in my country also in abroad. It includes: collective exhibitions, art colonies, festivales, in government level master classes. I have been awarded in many art exhibitions. My paintings are exhibiting in too many private galleries around the world: USA, UK, France, Turkey, Japan, Russia, Italy, Netherlands and etc.

How would you define the art of painting in your country today?

In Azerbaijan state helps a lot to artists. State organizes exhibitions in Azerbaijan also I took part some exhibitions abroad which were organized by state.

Do you have in mind any new project?

Now the project which is on my mind is organizing my own private exhibition. I make now new paintings in my art studio. After that, my plan is to organize that private exhibition abroad.
